Power Cores are special abilities that do not need ability points to activate, they are engaged all the time. They are powered by Nebulon technology and can grant special powers or enhance existing powers, even enhance health or rejuvination rate.
Power Cores are available for defense buildings and for bots and most are only able to be used by targets of a certain class, although there are some universal power cores. And then there are some bot-specific Power Cores as well.
Power Cores are upgraded at the Power Core Lab by fusing cores together. Bots get assigned their cores in that same lab while buildings are assigned in the field. Bots may be equipped with a core, then un-equip to take on a different one or to have that core simply re-issued to a different bot (possibly the same character with a higher star rating).
Prime Cores are remnants of spark left over from the original 13 Primes that also enhance a bot's abilities.
