Decepticons

The Decepticons are a group of Cybertronians that are the arch rivals of the Autobots. Their multi-millenia war ravaged their homeworld and used up most of the planet's resources of Energon, forcing the Autobots to send a force off-world to find more. The Decepticons pursued and in the ensuing battle they both crash landed on Earth, spilling the war over to a previously neutral planet.

The Decepticons are under the command of Megatron, who derived his name from The Fallen of the original Primes, Megatronus. He has formed a team that follow in Megatronus' path of strength and conquest. The Decepticon faction is a tenuous group with rivalries, treachery, and sabotage present at all times; Megatron leads only because he is clearly the strongest but several others await their chance to take over.
