Camians are Cybertronian colonists that settled on the world Caminus many millenia ago at the dawn of the Decepticon-Autobot Wars. There they remained, avoiding the conflict, until their leader, the Mistress of Flame, learned that several reveared artifacts had been uncovered and were about to be exploited in the war; the Enigma of Combination, and later the 12 Prime Cores.
She sent her best warriors, the Rust Renegade team of Torchbearers, and a City Speaker, Windblade, to Cybertron to locate and prevent these items from being misused. The females were convinced to join the Autobot cause believing that they would turn over the relics once they were no longer needed instead of continuing to use them to subjugate more and more people.
