A faction of Cybertronians fighting against the Decepticons. The Autobots follow in the path set forth by the majority of The Primes and support a wide range of acceptance and tolerance, where as the Decepticons are more militaristic and domineering. The Autobots are composed of various Cybertron robots that are not necessarily warriors or trained fighters unlike their Decepticon rivals.
Four million years ago, with Cybertron virtually destroyed after millenia of war between the two factions, a group of Autobots left Cybertron to look for more sources of energon to sustain themselves. They were followed by a team of Decepticons and forced to crash land on Earth. Upon the initial crash all of the Cybertronians were inactive but regained consciousness and resumed warring between each other in what now is known as the Earth Wars. Even Cybertronians that emigrated away to Canimus, Junkion, and other colony worlds have returned to join in the battle against the Decepticons. As a result of a Space Bridge flux even some Maximals from the Beast Wars have joined the Earth Wars.
The Autobots follow the Prime, the leader of the group instilled within them the Matrix of Leadership containing the spark of Primus, the first Cybertronian. Optimus Prime carried it to Earth, and Rodimus Prime assumed it from him. The Autobots are comprised of sub-teams and other robots:
